The monumentally impressive small columbarium in Horní Počaple represents the culmination and summary of the artists' typical artistic principles that link architecture with design. Architecture itself becomes design and the design of the elements is part of its surface. Architects Bohumil and Eva Fant designed a columbarium in the shape of a regular prism with two open symmetrically arranged entrances, which is defined by the materials used - light marble, glass and shiny stainless steel surfaces. The geometrically precise mass of the building is topped with subtle strip glazing, which is articulated by stainless steel columns supporting the roof slab. The smooth walls of the columbarium are lined with slabs of light Carrara marble. The polished stainless steel exterior and interior mirrors its surroundings and creates an unexpected effect. Architectural historian Pavel Halík points out the lessons learned from the work of Italian architect Carlo Scarpa.
