In 1976, Zdena Zábrodská was commissioned to create a study for the opening of the colonnade of the Kromeriz Flower Garden, which was to gain a new function as an observation terrace. Due to the non-original roofing of the building with a pitched roof, the idea arose to replace the roof with a walkway, which was to be accessed by a self-supporting staircase from the Dutch Garden. The intended implementation was eventually postponed and the colonnade was not made accessible by an observation deck until 1988, according to a study by Zdena Zábrodská.
