Vyšla kniha Ženy v architektuře! / The book Women in Architecture is out!
Kniha je závěrečným výstupem výzkumného projektu „Ženy v architektuře“ (GAČR 21-22749S), jehož součástí je i otevřená výzkumná databáze, ve které se právě nacházíte.
Publikace představuje téma žen v architektuře druhé poloviny 20. století jak z hlediska dějin architektury, tak v mezioborových souvislostech z pohledu sociologie, obecných dějin a genderových studií. Věnuje se okolnostem praxe a vzdělání architektek, propojení profesního a rodinného života, ale i reflexi a uznání práce architektek a principům historiografie oboru nahlíženým optikou genderové perspektivy. Odborné studie v knize doplňuje komentovaná obrazová příloha, která představuje široké spektrum děl a aktivit žen činných v architektonické sféře – od projektové a designérské činnosti přes práci výzkumnou, teoretickou, historiografickou, kurátorskou či pedagogickou až po kritiku a propagaci architektury. Součástí publikace je také přehled příjmení žen, jejichž tvůrčí dráhy se náš výzkum dotkl. Jeho smyslem je upozornit na téma proměn ženských příjmení znesnadňující proces atribucí. Zároveň je tento seznam důležitou pomůckou pro sledování kontinuity práce zmíněných tvůrkyň.
Editorkami publikace jsou Klára Brůhová a Helena Huber-Doudová. Na obsahu knihy se dále podílely Petra Hlaváčková, Karina Hoření, Šárka Malošíková, Denisa Nečasová, Mary Pepchinski, Barbora Řepková, Barbora Vacková a Nikola Zahrádková. Grafický design: Formall – Bára Kočí, Gabriel Fragner, Jan Forejt. Kniha, která vychází v česko-anglické jazykové mutaci, byla připravena ve spolupráci s Národní galerií v Praze a její vydání bylo finančně podpořeno Grantovou agenturou ČR (reg. č. 21-22749S).

The book is the final output of the research project "Women in Architecture" (GAČR 21-22749S), which includes the open research database you are currently in.
The publication presents the topic of women in architecture in the second half of the 20th century both from the point of view of architectural history and in an interdisciplinary context from the perspective of sociology, general history and gender studies. It focuses on the circumstances of the practice and education of women architects, the interconnection of professional and family life, as well as the reflection and recognition of the work of women architects and the principles of the historiography of the field viewed through a gender perspective. The book's expert studies are complemented by an image supplement with commentary, which presents a wide range of works and activities of women active in the architectural sphere - from project and design work through research, theoretical, historiographical, curatorial or pedagogical work to criticism and promotion of architecture. The publication also includes a list of surnames of women whose creative careers have been covered by the research. Its purpose is to draw attention to the theme of the transformation of female surnames in the Czech cultural context, making the process of attribution more difficult. At the same time, this list is an important tool for tracing the continuity of the work of the women creators in question.
